Estimates for a typical move: new boxes around $2.40 each, ~3 minutes to build, tape, and flatten each one, ~0.5 kg CO₂e per box. Your numbers will vary — but the totes always show up ready and leave when you're done.

How many totes do I need?
A rough guide: a studio or one-bedroom usually fits in around 20 totes, a two-to-three bedroom home in about 35, and a full house in 50–60. Not sure? Pick the closest package and we'll adjust — or request a custom count.
How long can I keep them?
Rentals are by the week. Pick the number of weeks your move needs, and extend anytime if you need a little longer to unpack.
Are the totes clean?
Every tote is cleaned and inspected between rentals, so what shows up at your door is ready to load.
Do the lids stay secure when stacked?
Yes. The totes use snap-on lids and a uniform shape, so they sit flat, stack tall, and stay closed in the truck.

Abbeville, Anderson, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, and Spartanburg counties. If you're near the edge of the Upstate, reach out and we'll let you know.
How do I reserve and pay?
Fill out the reservation form below with your dates and address. We'll confirm availability and your total, then schedule your drop-off and pickup. Reservations require a credit card on file to secure your totes.
What if a tote is damaged or I can't return it?
All reservations require a valid credit card on file — there's no upfront deposit, your card simply secures the rental. Upstate Totes reserves the right to charge the card on file for any damaged or non-returned totes at a rate of $10 per tote. Moving out of state and want to keep one? You can buy a tote outright for $10, or we'll send a shipping label and you cover return shipping.
